For many years, while I was working, I dreaded Christmas gift giving. There was usually a ceiling dollar amount such as, gifts $20 dollars and under, in order to avoid someone buying an expensive Christmas gift and then getting a disappointingly cheap gift in return.

I believe that the idea is a good one and I know there are some people who would say that it doesn’t matter what you get, it’s the thought that counts. However, nothing is more upsetting than buying someone a meaningful gift and then receiving some totally useless crap.
